According to the Australian Government Actuary, there’s a 50% chance that one member of a couple aged 65 today will live into their 90’s – that’s 25+ years in retirement.

Our presenter from Challenger will speak about what you should consider when thinking about your retirement and how you can protect your lifestyle.

Retirement planning can often be confusing and overwhelming. Knowing your goals will help you to understand how much you can expect to spend in retirement. You can then start to plan how to fund your lifestyle and what income options are available.

Presented by: Nathalie Bouquet – Challenger Senior Product Manager, Retirement Income

Nathalie is a Senior Product Manager at Challenger with over 25 years’ experience within this industry, specialising in retirement incomes and superannuation. Nathalie is responsible for reviewing Government regulation and ensuring Challenger’s product solutions and tools meet all requirements.

  • 2:20pm - Bowel Cancer Screening | Cancer Council

All Australians aged 50-74 have access to the National Bowel Cancer Screening Program (NBCSP) through which free, 2-yearly screening kits are mailed to their homes.

The kit is a simple and easy stool test, which can detect precursor lesions or bowel cancer at an earlier stage and saved lives. If detected early, bowel cancer has a 90% cure rate.

In this presentation, we will discuss the NBCSP, the simple and easy stool test, and how almost 84,000 Australian lives could be saved if we could increase participation from 40 to 60 per cent.

  • 2:40pm - The Campaign for Better Hearing – supported by Audika | Audika Hearing Clinics

As you may have experienced, hearing loss can be so gradual that you may not even notice it at first. The subtle changes can have an impact on your quality of life so early detection is important. Why not encourage your family and friends over sixty years to have a hearing test as part of their annual health review.
